Job Description
Summary
On behalf of the professional medical staff, establishes the initial patient-family contact and maintains the continuity of patient rapport.
Job Duties
- Manages patient appointments and schedules follow up visits.
- Responds to and assists physician with patient questions.
- Provides and explains educational material to patients. Informs patient on treatment and administration.
- Answers phones and provides information to patients or takes detailed messages and forwards them to the appropriate party.
- Provides varied, job-related administrative support as needed.
- May correspond with insurance companies regarding patient accounts.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years of relevant experience.
