We are hiring Clinical Pharmacists! In this role, you will act as a medication management expert, providing accurate drug information to healthcare providers, nurses, and other clinical staff. You will oversee pharmacy technicians during your shift and contribute to the training and education of pharmacy staff. Collaboration with colleagues and delivering exceptional customer service to both patients and staff are key aspects of this position. Additional responsibilities may include participating in quality and performance improvement initiatives or other tasks assigned by Pharmacy Leadership.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Provide oversight of safe and timely medication use system.
- Oversee compounding in alignment with USP, Board of Pharmacy, and other regulations.
- Ensure medications are received, stored, labelled, transported, and wasted appropriately.
- Ensure controlled substance processes are adhered to.
- Collaborate with members of multidisciplinary health care team to optimize patient’s medication therapy.
- Participates in care coordination and Investigational Drug management for research patients, following all required regulations and practices.
- Actively supports reporting of Pharmacy Interventions, Adverse Drug Reactions, and Medication Errors.
- Participate in pharmacy staff development, including new employee orientation, students, residents and training.
Your qualifications should include:
- Graduate of ACPE-accredited Pharmacy School or School with ACPE accreditation pending
- Current CA Pharmacist License
- BLS certification (through the American Heart Association)
