Radiation Therapist I – Radiation Oncology (South Pasadena) (Per Diem)

Join our team as a Radiation Therapist I, where you will play a vital role in delivering radiation therapy to patients according to physician prescriptions and established standards! Your responsibilities may include a range of procedures, such as IMRT, SRS, SBRT, TBI, TBE, High Dose Rate Brachytherapy, and CT-based simulations. In addition to patient care, you will provide clinical instruction to students, contributing to their education and development in the field. As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Deliver a prescribed and planned course of radiation therapy to patients of all ages.
  • Reinforce recommendations given to patient by healthcare professional concerning reaction to treatment and care of radiated area, prevention, or treatment of generalized and local side effects
  • Perform simulation procedures as prescribed by physician and assist in dosimetry procedures
  • Perform daily quality assurance checks on linear accelerators, reporting any variation in morning warm-up. Reports improper equipment operation to appropriate personnel

Your qualifications should include:

  • High School or equivalent; Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training in an accredited Radiation Therapy Education Program
  • 0-3 of related experience, depending on training
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology course plus radiation therapy course OR Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy Program
  • Licensed by the California State Department of Health (Certified in Radiation Therapy)
  • Certification by the ARRT – in Radiation Therapy
  • BLS or CPR
  • Hourly Pay rate: $70.00/hr

Pay Rate: $51.82 - $77.72 / hour
