The scope of services provided include Record to Report processes: US Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Statutory Reporting, Financial Reporting, Intercompany, Financial Master Data Governance, Risk Management & Compliance, Capital, Inventory, Lease and Balance Sheet; Transaction Processing in Invoice to Pay, Indirect Tax, Order to Cash, Credit Risk and Gross to Net; Operational Transfer Pricing; GFS Treasury Operations, Colleague Services and MAPP Administration

The China Finance operation Finance Manager will be responsible to support CFOL on overall China Pfizer Operations and Projects implementation, ensuring local Country Management strategies and planning are in alignment with statutory, legal, regulatory and jurisdictional guidance. The role, together with multiple teams including Business Finance, Commercial team, Legal, RDC, RA, QA,PGS etc. provides the appropriate financial treatment in market to ensure Pfizer China continued operations for both global project and China strategic project initiatives.

This role requires extensive collaboration with Business Finance, China major function teams as well as GFS Statutory CoE and the Regional and Global GFS sites and COE leaderships to ensure the integrity of Pfizer market financial data.

 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Month End and group reporting

·       To manage the close for various legal entities under US GAAP for reporting

·       To resolve any issues which arise during the close

·       To provide support to China market team as required during the close, and to also ensure the entire close are completed in line with the reporting timetable

  • Complete key controls in SAP PC in accordance with policies and accounting calendar
  • Assist in internal & external audit
  • Support CFOL on manage and oversee the month/year end process
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data
  • Monthly Review Balance Sheet & PL report
  • Monthly Accrual review

 

Project management

  • Lead support for Step Plan /LE set up – acting as coordinator liaising between Finance, Tax, Legal, Commercial etc. for the Global ORC.
  • Provide local market financial accounting guidance and partner with Business Finance in financial due diligence efforts
  • Provides local market intelligence and knowledge to support Business Project coordination and initiation
  • To communicate effectively with co-workers and management about the finances of the business and justify certain financial recommendations
  • Maintains liaison with Business team and GBS on resolution for all significant financial issues

·       Communication & track on relevant project status and issue information to the key stakeholders

·       Represent projects in planning andstatus review meetings

 

 

Requirements

  • Approximately 10+years of working experience in accounting / controllership team
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; CPA is must / MBA preferred or other equivalent education / certification (e.g., Chartered Accountant)
  • Experience in SOX, Financial reporting , internal and external audit

·       Confidence and ability to work on own initiative

  • Experience navigating a large, complex organization and managing stakeholder’s interests using a matrixed organization

·       Tenacity and determination to ensure goals are achieved.
