Position Summary:

City of Hope is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Nurse to join our team in the infusion clinic, specializing in cancer treatment. In this role, you will be at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge cancer therapies to our patients, providing comfort, support, and hope during their cancer journey.This opportunity is for full-time, 10-hour shifts (4 shifts per week), and designated for the evening shift (11:30am start time).

Up to $20,000 Sign-on Bonus Available!

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments with precision, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor patients closely during infusions and procedural chemo administrations, assessing for adverse reactions and providing immediate care as needed.
  • Educate patients and families about treatment plans, potential side effects, and self-care strategies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, pharmacists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatment administration.
  • Offer emotional support and a compassionate presence to patients, fostering trust and confidence.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Nursing is required
  • Current California RN license
  • Minimum of three (3) years related experience, preferred background in oncology nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Card through American Heart Association
  • ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card
  • OCN (preferred)
  • Proficiency in administering chemotherapy and a deep understanding of cancer treatment principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a caring and empathetic demeanor
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical setting

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $59.57 - $86.37 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
