Summary

The Section of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Clinical Operations Associate to play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our clinical services. This role demands a high level of responsibility, organization, and experience in healthcare operations. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing the day-to-day activities of the clinic, with a focus on optimizing patient access to care and maximizing the efficiency of our healthcare providers.

Working closely with the Section Administrator and/or Clinical Operations Manager, the Clinical Operations Associate will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and supporting processes that enhance the overall patient experience. This includes streamlining workflows, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, and fostering an environment that prioritizes high-quality care and exceptional service delivery. The role also involves monitoring and improving operational metrics, coordinating resources effectively, and contributing to strategic initiatives aimed at continuously improving patient outcomes and clinic performance.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of managing clinical operations, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to excellence in healthcare service delivery. This position is crucial in maintaining the high standards of care that our patients expect and deserve, ensuring that our clinic operates at the highest levels of efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Duties

  • Oversees the daily clinical operations for the section\'s McNair Baylor Medicine Clinics together with physician leadership and section and department administration.
  • Manages the clinical roster to ensure effective utilization against approved staffing plans.
  • Responsible for physician scheduling and schedule management using QGenda, Amion, and EPIC.
  • Implements process improvement goals that support the clinical enterprise.
  • Works with Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) central teams to troubleshoot billing and patient issues.
  • Develops, prepares, and interprets program data to provide actionable reports for physician leadership and  administration.
  • Identifies business and clinical process improvement opportunities and lead process improvement projects.
  • Assists with program development, network integrity, referral capture, and marketing initiatives required for successful growth of the clinical practice.
  • Implements accountability measures and timelines to meet clinical goals.
  • Identifies and resolves issues independently and form positive and collaborative relationships.
  • Leader of culture change, quality improvement, and financial and operational maximization by developing data-driven metrics for success.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
