Job Description

Summary

This research assistant position in the laboratory aims to meet our requirement for an experienced researcher to conduct pre-IND enabling studies utilizing adoptive cell-based therapies for cancer treatment. Experiments will be conducted using proper laboratory techniques and analyze data using advanced statistical methods to prepare detailed reports for lab supervisor's assessment. The candidate for this position should have experience in molecular biology techniques, cell staining and western blotting techniques.

Job Duties

  • Western Blotting and cell staining analysis
  • Operate all instrumentation needed for the projects (training will be provided as needed)
  • Document experimental procedures in precise details
  • Collect and compile imaging and cell protein data
  • Prepare reagents and solutions, and perform experimental work as needed, including cell staining, western blotting
  • and protein purification
  • Troubleshoot problematic results
  • Implement protein biochemistry techniques needed for experiments specific to lab
  • Maintain laboratory organization, monitor cell protein imaging and conduct supply ordering
  • Optimize novel assays and protocols under supervision of the principal investigator
  • Perform other related job duties as assigned
  • Conduct bench-level scientific tasks and preparing thoroughly documented materials essential for FDA IND-enabling studies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or a related field.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in basic science or a related field.
  • The ideal candidate for this position should possess substantial expertise in cell-based therapies and drug development initiatives.
